This policy applies to CostRule, published by Keydams, and describes what information the site collects and how it’s used.
Information collected
CostRule is a static, no-account site — there’s no login, no user profile, and no form on the site that asks you to submit personal information as part of using it. The categories of information collected are limited to what standard web analytics tools gather automatically when you visit:
- Usage data: pages viewed, referring page, approximate location (country/region level), device and browser type, collected through the analytics named here.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics: does not use cookies or local storage to track visitors.
- Hosting: the site is delivered through Cloudflare’s network, which processes visitor IP addresses to serve pages and protect the site from abuse. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie when it challenges suspicious traffic; that cookie is not used for analytics or advertising.
- Email: if you email us through the Contact page, we receive whatever you choose to include — typically your email address and message content.
CostRule doesn’t sell products, process payments, or require an account, so no payment information is collected.
How information is shared
Cloudflare Web Analytics data is processed by Cloudflare for the purpose of understanding site traffic. No advertising network runs on this site today; if one is added, this policy is updated before it goes live. Keydams does not sell personal information to third parties, and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
If retailer affiliate links or contractor-referral links are added to the site in the future (see Editorial Policy), those third parties may set their own tracking cookies when you click through — this policy will be updated before that happens, and the relevant links will carry their own disclosure (see Affiliate Disclosure).
“Do Not Track” signals
CostRule does not currently change its behavior in response to browser “Do Not Track” signals or similar mechanisms.
Your access and choices
To review, correct, or ask questions about any information you’ve sent directly (for example, through an email), contact [email protected]. Cloudflare Web Analytics runs without cookies, so there is no analytics cookie to switch off for it. The only other cookie you may see is Cloudflare’s security cookie, which your browser settings control without affecting the pages.
California privacy notice
California’s Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) applies to any site operator accessible to California residents, regardless of revenue — this policy is posted in accordance with that requirement. Keydams does not sell personal information and does not currently meet the revenue or data-volume thresholds that would bring the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) into effect; this section will be revisited if that changes.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date above is updated and material changes are summarized on this page rather than made silently.
